I needed this book for my recertification class and it came with everything (book and mini booklet). You can now use it during the written test for your certification which is nice just in case you forgot a fact. It's crazy how the AHA just changes a couple things every edition and you have to buy a completely different set of supplies. When are we ever going to get it right where we just have a technique that works and doesn't have to be changed every couple years for book sales?
Arrived just in time to study for my ACLS re-certification. Make sure you look at the backside of the first page of the book. There you will find the website and code to provide you with additional study materials, including video tutorials.
Great book by The American Heart Association. Everything very well explained and very clearly. It does take sometime to go through the contents and organize the info. It brings labels that you place in every session for easy finding as you review the materials.
This book comes with the fold out pages of various algorithms. It also comes with a page full of stickers so you can mark / label the chapters. I also signed up for acts-algorithms.com, which has interactive scenarios and many practice quizzes. The combination of this reference book and the online tests helped me get 100% on my written tests!
Perfect! I am taking the online class and they offer this book online but I need an actual book to go along with it and this is the manual that the AHA usues so for the price it is worth it. I called AHA to see how much they offer it and it was double.This book also included the small cards that AHA offers that is $19.95, the algorithms so no need to buy separate. You get everything in this package!A lot of good information!
Arrived promptly and in excellent condition! However, I am not sure that it was worth it to purchase the updated manual, as the only notable change was the removal of vasopressin from the cardiac arrest pathway. Otherwise, a good purchase.
The ACLS book saved my Cardiology grade because the Pearson Paramedic textbooks have conflicting information that does not follow either 2010 or 2015 AHA standards. After mastering the course and earning my ACLS certificate, I carry the holdouts with me along with my pocket guide
