This one centers on Tony the oldest Clark Child. He is an LT at a local fire station and falls for a local paramedic who happens to be the daughter of his Cheif. Follow along as Tony and Jessica learn more about each other and more about the antics of the Lion as well as everyone else involved in his operation. The Lions web reaches far. This book picked up where the last one left off, still dealing the human trafficking and drug dealer The Lion. Tony Clark is trying to get promoted to fire chief, but he keeps getting blocked. Meanwhile he has to deal with the current chief and his daughter Jessica blaming his family for Adam's death. Until Jessica starts to fall for Tony and realize there is more to the story surrounding Adam's death and her father's involvement. As Tony gets deeper into the investigation of what's really going on and discovers the corruption in his department he and Jessica are threatened and truths start to be revealed.
Friction by Eliza Ellis is a must read! The storyline was engaging and kept my interest as well as the drama, romance, twists and emotional turmoil created tension for the couple. Tony and Jessica are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attraction between the couple simmered along nice as they engaged in a chemistry that was spicy and hot. Tony Clark and Jessica Ridley both work at the same firehouse and are somewhat enemies. Tony and Jessica's brothers were working undercover and Jessica's brother was killed and she wants revenge but when someone comes after her it is Tony who steps up to protect her. Loved this story filled with suspense and romance and the characters where interesting and strong but tender. This is a well written book with strong characters and an intriguing story line. The author does a great job building the story , filling it with tons of action,suspense and emotions and pulls you in with the intense romance. She describes in vivid detail both her characters and scenes and keeps you turning the pages right to the end. The story moves quickly and smoothly and I loved reading it. The Norfolk series just keeps getting better and better... I can't wait for book 4, I need to know what's going to happen... I loved this story about Tony and Jessie.. The chemistry between these too was great even with all the drama surrounding them. My heart hurts for Jessie and I hate what happened to Adam. But Tony is determined to protect Jessie and find out the truth without compromising his integrity.
